First of the two 'Scrap Pile' pendants, this piece is made out of leftover copper, sterling silver and scrap bezel wire. Time, money and resources may be scarcer than ever in the time of Corona but I still see people everywhere in my community creating beautiful things out of what is on hand. Here is my take on that. It's time for the overlooked mangled metal and rough rocks in my scrap pile to shine.
The stone is a slightly imperfectly shaped labradorite cabochon with some amazing labradorescence. Celestial shapes have been hand sawed on the back. I like to design both sides of a pendant in case it flips while wearing. Feel free to wear it backwards! Antique finished.
Total pendant is about 2" long. Cabochon length is 1 3/16" long, top to bottom. Hangs on a 16" Sterling Silver 1 mm unseamed snake chain. The bail is large enough to accomodate most chains, this pendant would also look amazing on a longer chain.
Said to be a stone of transformation, a labradorite amulet like this one might be just the bit of charm needed in these times of transition we are all going through.
